Book is ok. The book title & tag line are misleading

The book title & cover are pretty misleading. This book main focus of the book seems to be them promoting their virtual Assistant business. They go over how they built their business, month by month, but the business is only 1 year old. They refer to times as 'the early days', but the business really still is in its early days.

They discuss how to they use tools like Slack, Trello, and Chargify to 'Optimize, Automate, and Outsource' some parts of their business (and say that they coach clients to do the same thing), but don't go into a lot of specific detail on how other companies can do the same thing (they offer consulting services to tell you those details).

I guess at the current price of $2.99, it was worth that price (as it's interesting to read the process of their 1st year in business), but the book (especially the first 3rd or so of it) largely reads as a sales pamphlet for their business. If you're looking to learn 'How to optimize, automate, & outsource everything in your business' (as the book cover states), you'll likely want to look elsewhere. One of the authors, Ari Meisel, has another book that sounds like it's actually more about that than this book is.

Meh, I don't why but I was expecting a bit more than a 10,000 ft overview. It read like a long form sales letter. Some takeaways but there are better books on doing more with less.

About the Author
Darlene Walton has been actively performing music since her first solo at the age of three. Since then, music has been a big part of her life. She studied piano for twelve years, violin and organ for six years, and some guitar thrown in to spice things up. At the age of sixteen she started her church musician career, and has played either piano or organ almost every week since. Darlene has been a piano teacher and choir director for many years, and in 2001 she added harp teacher to her resume. As part of a gospel group called “Shine”, Darlene helped produce and write and album with all original music and lyrics, which the group performed at many venues. More recently Darlene had made two solo harp CDs. The Harp and the Rising Sun contains popular tunes and some Celtic music. Her second CD, Quiet Praise, features solo harp versions of gospel favorites. Darlene was also featured in a Sentimental Reflections DVD. At present, Darlene works as the Showroom Manager for Rees Harps Incorporated. She stays busy composing music and rehearsing with her eighteen-piece Harpsicle® Harp choir. She has performed two times at the state of Indiana Inaugurations for Governor Mitch Daniels, and plays at the Neo-Natal Intensive Care unit and in the Dialysis unit at a large Cincinnati hospital. She also plays for weddings, dinners, funerals, art shows, festivals and many other venues. Darlene loves teaching both private and group harp lessons and piano lessons. Taking stress out of learning to play an instrument is Darlene’s greatest gift to her students. For Darlene Walton the harp has been a major blessing in her life. She says it’s a lot more fun than piano and she wishes she had started playing it back in fifth grade when she first fell in love with the harp’s beautiful mellow tones.

CLASSICS book is just was I was looking for!!

Darlene Walton's Classics book has Great Songs and a wide variety!
The arrangements are interesting, and not boring!
I especially like NOT having to flip levers on my harp!
The chord changes above the staff are very helpful!

Great beginner to intermediate repertoir

The selections in this book are simple to read and easy to play. They also include the chord letters above the staff to make improvisation easier. It is possible to play all of these songs without flipping a lever on a harp with only 26 strings. I don't think the fingerings in the book are always the best, but other than that, it is perfect!

This is going to be one of my more valuable books as I try to learn to play the Harp. I thought I was ready to learn GREENSLEEVES, but I had to give up - - it is just too difficult to make my left hand work the way it shows on the sheet music. Later...

About the Author
Benjamin Ginsberg is the David Bernstein Professor of Political Science and Chair of the Center for Advanced Governmental Studies at the Johns Hopkins University. He is the author or coauthor of 25 books, including Presidential Power: Unchecked and Unbalanced; Downsizing Democracy: How America Sidelined Its Citizens and Privatized Its Public; Politics by Other Means; The Consequences of Consent; The Worth of War; and The Captive Public. Ginsberg received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 1973. Before joining the Hopkins faculty in 1992, Ginsberg was Professor of Government at Cornell. His most recent books are The Fall of the Faculty: The Rise of the All-Administrative University and Why It Matters; What the Government Thinks of the People; and Analytics, Policy and Governance.

Theodore J. Lowi has been John L. Senior Professor of American Institutions at Cornell University since 1972. He was elected President of the American Political Science Association in 1990 and was cited as the political scientist who made the most significant contribution to the field during the decade of the 1970s. Among his numerous books are The End of Liberalism and The Pursuit of Justice, on which he collaborated with Robert F. Kennedy.

Margaret Weir is Professor of Sociology and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. She has written widely on social policy in Europe and the United States. She is the author of Politics and Jobs: The Boundaries of Employment Policy in the United States and coauthor (with Ira Katznelson) of Schooling for All: Class, Race, and the Decline of the Democratic Ideal. Weir has also edited (with Ann Shola Orloff and Theda Skocpol) The Politics of Social Policy in the United States.

Caroline Tolbert is Professor of Political Science at the University of Iowa, where she regularly teaches the introductory American government course and was awarded the Collegiate Scholar Award for excellence in teaching and research. Her research explores political behavior, elections, American state politics, and the Internet and politics. Tolbert is coauthor of Digital Citizenship: The Internet Society and Participation; Why Iowa? How Caucuses and Sequential Elections Improve the Presidential Nominating Process; and Virtual Inequality: Beyond the Digital Divide. Digital Citizenship was ranked one of 20 best-selling titles in the social sciences by the American Library Association in 2007. Her latest coauthored scholarly book is Digital Cities: The Internet and the Geography of Opportunity. She is President of the State Politics and Policy Section of the American Political Science Association.

I needed this for a Government class. I like the way the book is laid out. It gives me the information that I need without having to buy another book to supplement the text. Lots of photos and charts to make thing clear.

American Government Textbook, good for the value, some redundant information

Purchased this book for an American Government Class at the University Level. The textbook contained all information necessary for the course, and additional information that was interesting to read. Much of the information in the earlier chapters is general knowledge/high school knowledge which one may skip if using the book as a study resource. The book also provides notes to additional online resources, which can be useful if one is using the book as a study resource.
The book arrived in new-condition, with no damage or printing errors.

good book, just a little slow in the beginning.

This was a retelling of the story of Blue Beard, the pirate. Except instead of being set in Louisiana, it is set in the Bayous of Sanguennay, one of the mythical lands of Ms. Blackstone's Blood Prince series.
Main Characters are Julien Marcon ( AKA Bluebeard), and Dominique Laveau ( the Voodoo Queen).
Julien had a one night stand with Dominique 10 years ago, and ran off, after the sex, but before Dominique woke up. Dominique was so hurt, and upset, that she cursed Julien that his beard would grow in Bright Blue....Making for a very distinctive way to identify a pirate.
Julien has returned, 10 years later, on the cusp of the Midsummer Solstice, and he is telling everyone that Dominique is to be his bride!! Dominique, still harboring a grudge, will not stand for it. And that is the basis of the story....without spoilers
SPOILER: Julien is not all that he seems, nor is his history. As with most of the Blood Prince series, and this new spin off series, people are not always what they seem to be. These are mythical kingdoms, and the underlying theme is picking people to populate and rule the new "inbetwixt and inbetween: kingdom that was created at the end of the last Blood Prince book.
I found the story fun, and interesting, but having way too much filler. It took, in my estimation, way too long for the book to reach the real story. For the first half of the book, there was just too much stuff. Once the book reached about 50% or so, the story line picked up, and became really interesting. There are several characters that I would love to see have their own books ( Tenoch and Drust). I enjoyed the book, and love her retelling of these "fairy tales and lore". However, I would recommend that you read the Blood Prince Series first, to get a better understanding of the Princes and the other minor characters. The Epilogue will confuse you if you have not read that series.

Voodoo, Bluebeards and sexy pirate fun

Julian, a pirate and smugglers life is put in danger when he becomes know far and wide for his blue beard a reminder of the woman he left behind. Dominique is a voodoo queen that fell into lust with a pirate and a heated moment cursed him. Jennifer Blackstream does it again! Creating a world with a pirate you want to whack over the head for being stubborn and a voodoo queen you want to shake. I devoured this book in one sitting and can't wait for more books in the realm of the blood princes.

Love, danger, curses and lust! A classic

Way to go

This was a new one for me I had never heard of the awesome bird our blue bearded friend turned into. He needed her on and fought it every step of the way. Her magic completed him. Love our crocodile friend / foe. But favorite part was that ( needed some thing blue for the wedding) that was too cool. Lol. The continuation of our angel, vamp, werewolf, gods. Great job and another excellent book from this author. Highly recommend any of her books

Flawed Classic

This is one of the most important efforts to analyze Miil's harm principle in order to articulate a politically liberal conception of criminal law. It's great flaw is that, in order to stretch the harm principle far enough to include everything Feinberg thinks ought to be criminalized and exclude everything he thinks ought not to be criminalized, Feinberg fashions a principle which has little connection with what Mill said and what others who speak of the harm principle mean. What Feinberg really shows, without admitting it or even seeing it, is that Mill's harm principle is unworkable. Nonetheless, this book is a classic.

Dr Frank Crundwell BSc (Financial Maths), PhD (Chem. He has been in involved in due diligence work, he has developed the business case for investment decisions, and he has patented and licensed inventions. He has also presented courses on Real Options Analysis and Finance for Professional Engineers for professionals.

Superb textbook and reference guide for project finance professionals

This textbook and reference guide is by far the best textbook/reference guide I ever saw on capital projects (i.e. project finance, infrastructure finance, etc.) evaluation and risk/return decision-making analysis. The book is broken out into four major parts:

1. Foundations (accounting principles, financial statements, proposals for capital projects, project cash flows, estimation of capital expenditure, etc.)
2. Evaluation (TVM, Discounted CF techniques, inflation, taxation, discount rate, decision analysis, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, etc.)
3. Risk Assessment (risk and return, CAPM, CoD, CoE, WACC, Monte-Carlo simulation, real options analysis, etc.)
4. Financing (financial markets, types of loans, project finance, public-private partnerships, etc.)

The best thing about this book is not only the book is extremely well-designed and well-written, not only it is comprehensive and filled with truly useful information but also it contains numerous case studies WITH SOLUTIONS; furthermore, each chapter has multiple review questions / problems WITH SOLUTIONS.

In other words, this superb all-encompassing book is perfect for self-study.

I am not sure why the author thought this book's target audience is engineers - I believe every type of professionals working on capital projects, including financial professionals, engineers, lawyers and government officials would greatly benefit from this book.
